The first dream I remember having as a child: a huge butterfly flew into my room, did several laps, then back out the window into the night sky.
Next morning I was adamant that it had it been real! But the window wasn’t open. A pretty little dream.

I wheeled my terminally ill Mum to the shores of Lake Ontario. We hung out in silence for a while and let our minds drift through the past, the present and the future.

Cooya Beach, Australia. An indigenous man of the Kuku Yalanji lead us across the flats in search of mud crab. We learned about the tradition of spearfishing passed down through generations.

Any crabs caught went to the bellies of the their families.
