the impression i have is that artists with huge followings aren't having too much trouble rebuilding on bsky, but small artists are having just as much trouble as on twitter
i really urge people to retweet art. this sucks massively and im sad people need to start from scratch

For those artists who fear that alt-text is dangerous because it helps scrapers. It doesn't do it!
Use alt-text and keep Bluesky inclusive and friendly.
If you don't do it, it's just because you're lazy or you don't care, there are no other excuses.

Use alt text. Generative AI models use VLMs to automatically generate labels for images they scrape. Not including alt-text does not impact them negatively.
