I have no issue with McD responding to what happened, but how. Emotions or not, he needs to keep SOME control. If he got up and started feeding Garland fists, there would be no issues or suspensions. Agreed none of it should have happened but the Oil didn’t give up possession so it’s a moot point.

All Garland did was lay and hold him. He didn’t punch, elbow or cross check McD. Players need 2 control their emotions Imagine if Garland was seriously injured? What then? There should have been a penalty but Canucks never got possession so a PP is a moot point. McD lost his cool. End of story.
