Jammer dat je gelijk de term "vals" denkt te moeten gebruiken. Het artikel wat je post gebruikt wel vaak de term "energie" maar het betreft de productie van stroom. Elektriciteit dus. Daarin gaat China hard, perfect. 1/2

I agree with you that it would be best to have no cars. Since 1 year I do without one. But I do realize that for me that's only possible because I live in a city and country (Amsterdam) with abundant public transport and bike possibilities. And car sharing services, 1 or 2 times a month, great!

Yes, true that the real emissions of the rich countries are higher because of production of the goods happens in other countries.
About the EV's and exporting the old cars: please let's keep on replacing ICE's with EV's. Than after a number of years those will be the old cars that will be exported

But that doesn't change the fact that Germany could have phased out coal by now if it had kept nuclear generation going at 2011 levels, like Jan wrote. And unfortunately that's the thing that's really crucial...

A factor in the Netherlands is that various cities have an zero-emission zone in the center for vans and trucks. It also has a positive marketing aspect for those supermarkets.

On the right, not visible on the photo is a cycle bridge. The ramp towards the bridge has been made this way so that it wouldn't become too steep.
In the right corner of the photo you see a school that they've built as well. So the ramp is the roof of that school.

Ik ben het met u eens dat er niet oeverloos geld ergens tegenaan gegooid kan worden. Maar wat er m.i. vaak gemist wordt is dat er alleen gekeken wordt naar de kosten van netuitbreiding, maar niet naar de besparing aan gas en olie (o.a. bij EV's) dat we minder naar het buitenland over moeten maken

Als Nederland nu eindelijk wat vaart gaat maken met de achtergebleven opslag hoeft er een stuk minder afgeschakeld te worden

Met bijplaatsen zorg je als eerste stap dat je op donkere dagen met weinig wind (bv in de herfst) meer opbrengst hebt. Dat is een goede en nodige stap op weg naar het dichten van tekorten in de winter. En het is relatief betaalbaar
