ChatGPT ever since o3 has been better than Google Scholar at finding papers on specific topics. This thread has a bunch of people who have never used a strong LLM to help with literature review telling people that it can't be done.

Before and during Brian Regli’s serving in Governor Josh Shapiro’s administration, Brian Regli was reportedly the director of Asset Entities Inc. from February 2023 to May 2024, according to The Asset Entities Inc.(Stock ticker: ASST) 10-K form for 2024. Asset Entities Inc. SEC IPO form S-1 reported Michael Gaubert as the Executive Chairman. Michael Gaubert is an attorney and, according to SEC forms, the cousin of Brian Regli. Asset Entities Inc. merged with and is now known as Strive Inc. a bitcoin company that was co-founded by Vivek Ramaswamy, who stepped down as Executive Chairman to run for president in 2023. Strive’s website describes that it was founded in 2022 supposedly in response to “large financial institutions” advancing “social, cultural, and political agendas in corporate America’s boardrooms”. Yahoo Finance calls Strive an investment management company, and the Strive Inc. Linkedin page blurb describes it this way: “​​Focused on maximizing returns through capitalism, meritocracy, innovation, American exceptionalism, and Bitcoin.”

When Josh Shapiro first got into office as governor one of the first things he did was reverse an anti-corruption gift ban put in place by Tom Wolf. I’ve had former Senator Bob Casey’s senior staffer talk down to me about my disabled status, actually questioning it, which was offensive. I’ve watched all the Democrats celebrate giving millions of dollars in taxpayer money to a literal bank, after so many decades of “bringing the jobs” trickle down economics bullshit we’ve endured here. The local county public health official was quoted in the news patronizing the public as though we’re a panicked mob, as if we couldn’t handle hearing about West Nile Virus in the area. On the other hand in the news the mayor of Scranton talked down to people in February 2025 saying worrying about immigrants being disappeared was “fear mongering”. I’ve been meaning to make a how it started, how it’s going meme about that one. The mayor had worked in the Obama administration, by the way, but sided with the MAGA mogul developer who was making light pollution so bad it was adversely affecting residents downtown.

A lot of these data centers aren't even for AI - they're probably for cryptocurrency, but none of the reporters ever seem to mention that part.

These plans could be happening in your area and you won't know right away because the politicians are signing NDAs (nondisclosure agreements) to keep the data center plans secret until they're ready to go and there's less time for you to organize against it.

I'm pretty sure that most of the ones planned near Scranton in Lackawanna County Pennsylvania are likely to be crypto printing data centers not AI cluster campuses because most of the land tracts proposed are less than 300 acres.

I have known exactly one person who got excited over Mike Bloomberg as a potential presidential candidate. Same person who acted like I was foolish to be offended by nepotism and corruption because it's the way it always has been and it's just the way it is. I'm not the fooled.

This book came out a couple of years ago and I heard the author on a podcast and thought that ship had already sailed actually.

The Baltimore-based company announced last year it has a contract to supply Microsoft with 835 megawatts of electricity for an artificial intelligence data center. But skeptics, including longtime Three Mile Island opponent Eric Epstein of Harrisburg, told the commission they have questions about how the 50-year-old plant was mothballed when Constellation shut it down in 2019, how much traffic it would generate, and the storage of radioactive spent fuel. They also said they’re concerned about how the facility will interact with the Susquehanna River in an age when climate change both makes water an increasingly scarce resource and flooding more violent and unpredictable.
