Follow the $$$. TX Tech will probs contract with a company that is an OPM - Online Program Manager - to review, revise, or develop plug & play courses to spec using PT “subject matter experts”. Cuts out the need for expensive tenured professors & effectively eliminates academic freedom.

Adding to this is older workers who cannot afford to stop working. There are no more pensions and they work past retirement age just for $ to live. Even if they’ve been able to save enough 401K to retire early, they can’t because healthcare and health insurance are so costly and unpredictable.
