My heart's in D.C. The rest of me is (usually) in Palm Springs.
Asked my husband to bring me a treat home from the store. He returned with this. 😂 #TrueLove

Parked in a handicapped spot at a gay bar. Read the room, you piece of shit.

These fools don't have to follow Schumer and his feckless disregard for what the majority of Americans want.

🚨🚨🚨PLEASE CALL YOUR SENATORS FRIDAY. If they are NO, voice your support. If they are YES, urge them to vote NO. There is still time. 🚨🚨🚨

Tried a new Korean street food restaurant that plays Kpop videos on a big TV for lunch today. The food was fantastic and the owner was so genuinely excited to share his cuisine. The kimchi was particularly delicious, and the ramen I had was amazing. Little things...💗

Unhappy with the federal aid freeze? Call your members of Congresa and tell them ASAP. Here's a script. Now is NOT the time to capitulate. Our elected representatives need to hear from us, now and repeatedly, as unconstitutional and illegal acts by the sitting administration are attempted. SPEAK UP!

Huge rainbow amidst the rain. There's a metaphor in there somewhere, I think. 🌈

Added some goodies to my office today. Slowly but surely coming together...

The two Cher photos are gifts from friends. I love that my people indulge me.

My (younger) cousin just sent me this meme and when I asked if he ever used to watch that show, he said, "I can't remember was it like Diff'rent Strokes or something?"

If you need me I'll be hurling myself into the sea.

December in Palm Springs never gets old.

Every year, our 97-year-old friend Loretta bakes thousands of cookies to give to loved ones. Her son Terry drives her all over town, delivering them. It's the highlight of the season to get a holiday hug and cookies from Loretta. (Pics of the cookies and of me and Loretta from last week.)

Why have we never gotten a Richard Scarry movie? I for one would like to know Lowly Worm's origin story. How'd he get that one Converse sneaker? Who made the custom apply car? Hollywood, you've failed us for too long.

The perfect Christmas song.

And then, there was the year my dad dressed as Santa at our annual Christmas Eve party. So many fun memories with the jolly old elf!

Or the year Santa was one of my grandmother's friends with a real beard! One year, when I was home from college, my sister and I went and had a photo done and framed it for my mom. We had the frame engraved "One last time", and she loved it.

You can tell the years we grudgingly sat with Santa. Looking back, I'm glad to have these memories; like the year my mom picked out matching outfits and my dad forgot to take off our coats, or the evolution of the purple sweater (purple was VERY BIG in the 80s)...

When we were kids, my parents took us to see Santa every year. As we got older, it became a bit of an obsession for my mom and we didn't have much choice.
