Hence my suggestion to give them the option of picking it up when there is an interest. Even showing them it exists can be educational. Heck, might as well give them a MacBook if you prefer. It's all the same under the Hood. We'll sort off.

Well. That's what I was alluding to. Most Kids will use Windows anyway. So starting with Linux is more of a detriment. It's why i suggested showing it to them when they have a good grasp of Windows. Linux is more catered towards people who don't mind tinkering and ofc Enterprise environments.

Mein Beileid. Das würde ich nicht mal meinen Erzfeind antun

That's fair. I personally think Money has no place in such spaces. It feels a tad bit too transactional. However, if it's consentual and as I said not one sided I probably wouldn't complain. It's just the entire concept that gives me the ick

NGL. Findom is such a huge turn off. I get it, different strokes for different people. But those types tend to be super abusive and rude.

Well deserved. Your Videos really scratch a particular itch I didn't know I had. Super interesting stuff to have active in the Background while working on stuff

As soon as he is sworn in he will press a big red button, next to one where he gets his Diet Coke on demand. Honestly. The fact that this Orange Turd gets back into the White House already feels comical.

Media literacy has been in the gutter for a while. Giving people only point of reference is always a bad idea.
I saw in my Family that it can be a detriment to only look at one source instead of several to get more perspectives on things. Especially during such times of turmoil

Why can I imagine him being voiced by Bruce Miles or John Patrick Lowrie
December 4, 2024 at 7:42 AM
Why does he remind me of Percy from Vox Machina? Pretty neat stuff.

Twitter had been a cesspit for a while. But Bluesky is more tame and comfortable. Oh and less riddled with Ads. it's like throwing out a crusty old blanket and getting one made out of cashmere wool.
Heck even the NSFW side of Bluesky is more tame. Weirdly enough

A child can definitely learn a thing or two about Linux. But giving them the Tools to connect with his Peers and navigate the World with a good Foundation goes a long way. It's more so about demystifying Linux than to teach them what is objectively better.
December 4, 2024 at 5:16 AM
It is important to teach them both. However, it is important to remember that Windows is more common in the consumer Space and Kids are impressionable and easily swayed by peer pressure. So showing them Windows is like putting training wheels on them before going for the real Deal. Like Arch.

Deathloop is just a weird weird game that slowly unfolds towards the End. It's a reverse Dishonored. The Gameplay was Shit but the Story was interesting enough to keep me going. I liked Colts Banter throughout it even though it felt a bit too sitcom to esque.
December 3, 2024 at 9:37 PM
And that's fine. Linux in an Enterprise environment is still nice to have and using a Gui is also fine on the occasion. But speaking about teaching Kids Computer Literacy with Linux is a bit heavy handed. It's like trying to teach them Math and handing them a Book about Advanced Calculus.
December 3, 2024 at 2:58 PM
Not at all. But it can't hurt to show them both sides of the Medal. Just because Linux is more widely adopted in IT doesn't mean it should be the only point of reference.

Imagine being able to grow Facial Hair. I can't even grow a Patchy Beard for the life of me. Just the Pornstache

Giving a Child a Linux PC sure is an interesting Task. But might be a bit too overwhelming. Might as well Dualboot Windows with it so they get an idea on what options they have. Showing them what's under the hood will give them a better understanding of things and appreciate it more.

What a Suprise. If it wasn't so tragic, I would laugh. It's honestly baffling to me that people voted for this.

It's by design. Uncle Elon wants you to be in the Right Wing Echo Chamber and show you why he is the First Lady.
