@wasatch2.bsky.social
The GOP thanks you.
You know how majorities and minorities in Congress work, don't you?

Both Republicans and Democrats on the House and Senate Armed Forces Committees are starting investigations.

Actually, Roger Wicker (R) and Jack Reed (D) are investigating and have requested information from the Pentagon.

27% was a common number in both political and non-political polling. But I think it may have increased.

Fox News polls actually have a good reputation for accuracy, unless something has changed. The Fox talking heads are not the same thing as their polling office.

The stuff in the Oval Office is not gold leaf. It's cheap gold paint. I read somewhere that's the paint is applied to plastic forms fom Home Depot. Who would buy that crap, besides Trump?

p.s. you might want to pay close attention to hos things happen in Congress. It's not as simple as you seem to think it is. I know that's harsh, but it's true. Keep your ideals, but be realistic. Follow the lead of Black women, who have no illusions about how progress happens, yet keep fighting.

Donald Trump won because this is a racist and gullible country.

You're sure about that?

To pass legislation in a small majority, you need Democrats voting together. People can think as independently as they like, and make proposals. Pelosi's job was getting enough votes to pass bills. It's not easy. It's not pretty, but that's how things work in Congress.
November 9, 2025 at 5:13 AM
There are a lot of people in the caucus besides AOC, and they cover a spectrum, though more progressive now. Speaker/Leader has to keep them all on the same page. It's not easy, & the results are not everything we want, but it's the only way to get ANY progress. Pelosi was a master of this.
November 9, 2025 at 1:50 AM
I followed the ACA legislative process closely at the time. Pelosi and Obama were not the problem. As someone with pre-existing conditions, I'm glad that we got what we could.
November 9, 2025 at 1:47 AM
Yes, Democrats are more inconstant voters than Republicans. That's Pelosi's fault? Pelosi didn't stand up to Trump?
November 8, 2025 at 10:31 PM
That sounds like quite the exaggeration.
November 8, 2025 at 10:30 PM
She counted votes, but I don't recall her shutting anyone down. Either the votes were there, or they weren't. She was able to hold the caucus together when the majority was really thin.
November 8, 2025 at 10:02 PM
Congress didn't have the votes for it.
November 8, 2025 at 7:50 AM
her job was to manage the entire caucus and get them on the same page. The caucus is not just progressives. She worked with everyone. Best Speaker of my lifetime.
November 8, 2025 at 7:49 AM
That's what she's been doing.
November 8, 2025 at 7:46 AM
most effective Speaker of my lifetime.
