The platform owners have a stance against it. An article on Mashable claims Hugging Face has already crawled and scraped the content. Nothing on public sites is safe from theft. Even index exclusion scripts are honor system only and unenforceable.

I'm sure it depends which AI you ask. If this particular AI wasn't programmed for altering art then it lacks the instructions to do so. If I ask the AI tool in Photoshop to generate a news article, it might be similarly confused. I'm glad this one was programmed to suggest human intervention first.

I use an aggregator for maximum variety and have for many years. Currently subscribed to Apple News but can recommend Clipboard as a good alternative, or at least it was last I checked, a few years ago.

Synchronicity: I had this same thought coming out of my LabCorp appointment today as I stood outside the door downing a cola so I'd have the strength to drop by the grocery en route back home. Top of the shopping list: more cola.
