It's a company with management and responsibilities. The management of the mechanics team is accountable. There was a plan that failed. Management underestimated the security risks. It's not personal. I'm certainly bummed it happened, but it was avoidable. There is no victim here. It's a company.

Visma-Lease a Bike has a €30 million/year budget. Perhaps, and I'm no security expert, but perhaps they could afford a €25/hour overnight guard to watch their most valuable equipment?

When we head off for a multi-week bike tour I have the stuff to fix everything on both of our bikes — once. Last year my wife's STI stopped shifting; was able to get 3 gears working. I also like to have stuff to give out to other cyclists. Saved a guy once with new brake pads; he was one happy dude.

Looks like a truck ran over the rider, and all that was left was the jersey.

This is some boring racing. The strength performance is great, but this final climb today, not so much.

This bike is anything but inconspicuous.

He stole 1 stage in Giro d'Italia from del Toro for a career 1 GT stage win. I laugh and I am now happy.

This is as common as clouds in the sky here in Germany. Used all the time, but only when someone is genuinely excited for something.
