Women are driving 2-3 hours to EC to deliver babies. If they need specialized care they have to get flown to Marshfield or the cities. Closing hospitals is causing prices to rise and healthcare quality to decline.

I’m pretty sure that lots of women, in the privacy of the voting booth, voted to re-elect Wisconsin’s Governor Evers contrary to what was expected for exactly this reason.

If republicans are only voting during presidential elections, are they even actually patriotic? Voting is duty, not just a right.

I’m still boggled that the guy who has had more businesses fail than succeed, and made it clear that he was going to “ make deals” vs negotiate was elected.

I’m just sitting here not saying I told you so because I’m waiting for the naysayers in my life to be personally affected. I plan on saying yeah, that’s a shame. But didn’t you say that it was never going to go as far as I was worried it might?

Farmers markets used to be able to accept food stamps in our town but now SNAP restrictions have eliminated the program. The same restrictions have eliminated the FoodWise program run by the Extension Agency.

How does he think offering to bring out the national guard to protect the Olympics is an enticement? If other countries hear that there will be military personnel it sounds like an unsafe environment.

I just shrug when people go on about danger in big cities nowadays after having lived in the Boston, New Haven, and Richmond metro areas during the 1990s.

They want to open a copper mine in one of the last remaining old growth forests in North America, the Porcupine Mountain region in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This could end up contaminating the Great Lakes.
