I'm sorry this is happening to your husband. I'm a vet, but I did not serve during wartime. The VA has never been super efficient, but the recent cuts to services are just insane. I hope your husband gets the help he needs soon.

The Rose Bowl holds a special place in my heart. As a child, my father worked as the resident painter for the City of Pasadena. In the 1960's he pioneered the use of colored paint in the end-zones and the centerfield rose for the Bowl games. At one time I had the original blueprints, now lost.

It's insane to put up with that abuse. But to be fair, they were aboard Air Force One. No one wanted to be thrown off the plane and left hitching a ride home in some other way.

I want to be very clear here - I absolutely believe Trump is a total sleaze and it's very likely he had sex with teenage girls. But, IF any of the Epstein victims alive today were victimized by Trump, why did they not publicly say so when they had that press conference?

Insurers dropping out is happening with Medicare Advantage Plans, too. In my area, I had little choice but to be stuck with United Health for 2026, far inferior to what I've had with Providence for 4 years. It will mean way more out-of-pocket for me. These "golden" years are so not.

It's not solely the tax cuts driving this. Dems hammer on that, it's not the whole story, or even the main point. Project 2025/ extreme conservative mindset - all gov't charity is wrong. To them, Taxes r only for nat security, + they see individuals as expendable if they get more than they pay in.

Most churches operate food banks - at least where I live, they do. My Republican friends believe churches, and missions provide thanksgiving dinners/other emergency food. In their minds, government shouldn't be about "charity", and they don't think Jesus thought otherwise. I think they're wrong.
