A little #CaregiverAwareness reminder: Before my #cancer diagnosis, I thought I understood caregiving. After? I show up for my brilliant mother with a whole new level of patience and compassion.

Being intentional about meeting up my local, brilliant, joyful, and beautifully Black women friends. This was some needed self-care - mentally and emotionally.

I love random conversations at the grocery store. The cashier asked about my voting sticker 🍑. Talked abt the importance of voting in local & state elections, & fear of being taken by those masked thugs & abt those losing snap benefits. I needed some humanity today.

You never forget all that happened leading up to a biopsy and then ultimately getting the cancer call. Today is my 10 year biopsy-versary and having some flashbacks. I knew something was wrong but never guessed it would soon lead to a breast cancer diagnosis.
