So this. This right here. This is when my opinion of The Conjuring: Last Rites shifted from mediocre horror film to despicable propaganda piece.
The Warrens were not pioneering paranormal heroes. At best, they were naive cranks--at worst they were grotesque con artists.

I have a lot of mixed feelings about herp shows. On the one hand, it's nice to see the variety of amphibians and reptiles present, and I almost feel a kind of kinship with the humans who attend them; on the other hand, there are invariably animals for sale that should not be--like crocodilians.

The pond is no more. It makes me particularly sad on days like today, when it was mild enough in the evening that spending some quiet time watching the water would have done me some good.
