This shot doesn't advance the plot and could be removed without distrupting the film, but it was important to me to have moments like this where we can get to know the characters.

I hope one day Kiyotaka Oshiyama ("Look Back") manages to make his "Shishigari" feature film.
In 2019, he had already directed (and animated alone) a 17-minute short film for this project (in his Studio Durian).
