I don't think we are talking about same books. Also, forgot to add + to 7. There were seven books when I was writing them, he wrote more and some spin offs, but I stopped following.

Yes, written by rather big fantasy author, with a series of 7 books. Though I had to quit at book 3 because of all the vagueness.
