She was fired for correctly describing an event. As a reporter, you shouldn't be fired describing reality, right?

So she may have a case here since the company "did not follow their termination policies."

But we'll never know for sure unless she sues the shit out of that company.

There are laws that prohibit "Wrongful Terminations" so your premise of a private company can just fire anyone willy-nilly is silly.
