Yea,excluding avatar stuff, sf6 is starved for ways to make players feel like they can put there own spin on the main roster. Having your own costume/color has always been a thing. Locking seasonal colors (not costumes) is reminensent of locking colors behind survival mode in SF5. It kinda sucks.

Yea I'm definitely not disagreeing with you, I think playing 300 matches in ranked, at any rank, every season should get you those colors, 100%. I just think, originally, it was a knee jerk reaction to retain players.

I think the idea was to keep people playing when they hit Master rank? Like they're was a huge drop off of players once they hit Master and realize 1500 MR probably isn't there actually skill level

I won't be paying to watch this but like, if this pops off in Japan, will every major Capcom sanctioned tournament be ppv? We gonna get a World Warrior steaming service? Probably not but if that is the case, are the players gonna get a cut?
