I raise climate solutions that merit discourse: study, share info, advocate, and I accept risk with enterprise start-ups. Robust technology assessment, a glaring omission as solutions are funded, will value co-benefits & Nature in $/c decision-making.
Particulate pollution is the greatest external health threat to human life expectancy. PM2.5 (burning - forests, gasoline, etc.) takes 1.86 years worldwide, while WASH (lacking-water, sanitation & hygiene) cuts 0.39 years. We'll forget "clean outdoor air” or recover?

Wildfires are a menace, with smoke visible and health alerts across an entire continent. A study of 4.5 million VA records revealed two diseases more to seven already linked to PM2.5, tiny particulate matter, not exhaled, entering our body and triggering illnesses.

Mortality Associated With PM2.5 Air Pollution in the United States
This cohort study identifies causes of death associated with ambient fine particulate matter (PM2.5) air pollution in the United States and estimates the burden of death for each cause.

I have built a DIY “supply only” ventilation setup - bath fan draws air through a window fitted with a particulate filter. Here in Cuenca, EC, “dry season” wildfire and crop residue smoke may hover (Cuenca, “basin” in Spanish). See post on PM2.5 and health.

Climate science is NOT complex, useful when conversing with someone in doubt who perhaps believes the "It's not settled" message. We’ve known about it since the American Association for the Advancement of Science printed Eunice Foote’s clear observations in 1856. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eunice_...

Most people underestimate popular support for climate action – worldwide. Talk about it - NOT risky. Where there’s a will there’s a way . . . do government officials (people) know what you will? Great interactive graph!

The majority of people in every country support action on climate, but the public consistently underestimates this share.
