I feel like this is an issue with some big franchises where they're like...afraid to do interesting things. They'll get so close to doing something great but cut it off at the last second. It's a big reason I fell out of things like Warhammer and Pokémon.

War in the Pocket and Turn A are two of my favorite shows like hands down, and the original series is a classic for a reason, but more recent series just struggle to get to that point. (1/2)

I feel like gundam is unfortunately one of those series that will always be just shy of amazing.
Like they get so close to doing something cool, but then they don't go anywhere with it.

The ending not being fatal and the fact that if felt good turned this from unsettling to absolute peak for me, so uh, safe to say I'm saving this @~@

Literally it went from "I dunno how I feel about this" to "this is unbelievably good."
