I’m at a hockey rink right now, but my mind keeps circling back to this project. I thought it would go slowly because there’s no deadline… but I’m super excited about it. It feels good to be excited about something.

First six blocks ready and a stack of units ready to join later. Tentative title “Land Mass,” meant to consider borders and boundaries, us and them, and how we respect or care for what’s on either side.

I try to leave a stack of things ready-to-sew when I leave the studio each night. But I don’t pretend it’s a productivity hack… I’ll still procrastinate when I get there. 🤣

I’m starting several projects these days. I’ve decided that the discipline to finish something despite the new ideas brewing is limiting and unnecessary.

That orange floral bed sheet came from my husband’s grandmother, which adds depth to the design for which this is intended.

Feeling the weight of winter darkness so I’m starting a new project. Nothing says happy like colorful fabrics.

I’m not sure how many of these Many Nested Curves quilts I’ll make. Do you ever go to a quilt show and think, “all of that maker’s quilts look the same?” I have. 🤷‍♀️ Maybe this is me now. 😂

This quilt’s binding has been “photo-ready” for years, but still needed to be stitched down. Today I worked on it.

Recently, I’ve been reflecting on how I keep drifting further from my initial goal of making quilts for humans. My overflowing quilt storage says it’s time to find homes for quilts.
