Try to think a bit about your target audience. Its fine to be proud of your work but you need to understand that judges at an IPMS style event aren't going to have the background knowledge to understand how cool your heavily customized gunpla that pays homage to a 45 year old anime is.

Honestly, I think a lot of Gunpla builders have the wrong idea about how these contests are judged, it is all about how much work you put in and the quality of that work. While something more Gunpla specific might be more about creativity and the impact of what you make, posing matters.

Definitely have to agree here. I've been a pretty active participant in a lot of IPMS style events for the last decade and I've entered a lot of Gundam and adjacent mecha kits in those contests over the years.
