The objective goes to hell

You know, I'll praise them for doing what they oughta (low bar to clear). I'm more than happy for my tax dollar to go towards a cop doing cowboy shit to save a cow from traffic

acab (especially columbus cops) but the mounted one who lasso'd her must have felt like a million bucks haha

I went to the narrator’s website and read what he had to say about all. Hardcore spelunkers have a really interesting attitude and demeanor. I guess it takes a certain centeredness to squeeze through minuscule underground holes as a hobby

Even if it didn't include the narration by by the guy who mapped it/was part of the rescue team, it would still be really haunting. I watched a streamer get as far into where he got stuck as the game will allow and it's just brutal

I just pictured you holding a pear to your ear and only realizing after several minutes of talking that nobody is responding

Some of the graves here are coming up on 100 years old though, and that really sticks with me. I might see about continuing to help clear it out even after I find him, and maybe even clean and restore some of these stones as best I can. These animals mattered to people.

The owners gave me permission to clear out anything in my search (they didn’t get any records or documentation when they bought the place).
November 16, 2025 at 1:27 AM
The last time I visited with Mom while the place was still kept up with was over twenty years ago - however, I distinctly remember this particularly heartbreaking tombstone from even back then, and I know Toodles is somewhere in at most a 40 ft radius of here

The cemetery was all but abandoned in 2009 or so and was purchased a few years ago by a family raising llamas on the property. They’re slowly clearing out the brush in the hopes of reopening it (I think they plan to have the llamas themselves help) but it’s slow going

apparently this new Frankenstein movie

Oh wow, I'm surprised they don't even have represses where you've looked. That's really fucking weird. There's usually a few or more in the country section at the stores around here.
November 13, 2025 at 9:50 PM
It's very, very hard to find original presses of his stuff - it's pretty much only reissues that anyone's likely to find
November 13, 2025 at 9:45 PM
they're pretty skittish, good work getting the pic!

looks like an ikea side table

Toy Story is for 7 year olds too. And it’s actually thoughtful and well written
November 11, 2025 at 1:42 AM
It doesn’t need to be deep to have a shred of plot.
November 11, 2025 at 1:40 AM
Right? It doesn’t need to be a superhero movie!
November 11, 2025 at 1:39 AM
I truly respect GDL and I do like some of his movies but within like five minutes of starting this, between the horrible Netflix cgi and the monster being able to tip the ship over, I wondered what the hell people thought all the fuss was about
November 11, 2025 at 1:17 AM
We have an hour left - does GDL scream the metaphor even louder?!
November 11, 2025 at 1:11 AM
Was it when the guy screamed about Prometheus (a modern one you might say???) or when the monster had a Jesus wound on his torso
