It was a privilege to formally open the Wolverhampton 'Kick Diabetes Out of the UK' Football Tournament last Saturday at Tettenhall College.

The tournament was held in recognition of World Diabetes Day, and was the first of its kind within Wolverhampton.

As I was at Parliament during the week, I sadly couldn't attend one of my local Gurdwaras in Wolverhampton for Bandi Chhor Divas.

But it was great to be able to take some time to go to the Shepherds Bush Gurdwara, and celebrate the special day last Tuesday.

Headteachers have said they are boosting attendance and improving behaviour in schools.

Labour has announced we’re working with Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Weetabix to deliver free breakfast clubs.

Dementia is the leading cause of death in the UK.

I asked the Leader of the House of Commons for support in getting the Department for Health and Social Care to treat Dementia as a physical health condition, so that sufferers and their families can receive the support that they need.
