Multiple candlelight vigils taking place across the Ward and city tonight to lament the loss of Alex Pretti and cry out for justice. Our light will shine in the darkness and the darkness will not overcome it.

Like you, I’ve watched today’s events unfold with absolute horror. I’ve seen the videos, was on scene before an unlawful assembly was declared, and heard the pleas for both peace and accountability from state and local leaders.

I'm pleased to announce that Minneapolis has joined a lawsuit brought by the AG of the State of Minnesota seeking an end to the ICE surge operation in Minneapolis.
