Somewhat randomly T-Mobile has given away a free full season subscription every year for the past 5+ years. I'd personally buy it either way, but something to consider if you're ever shopping between mobile carriers

Quick question: What about Troy Taylor? I really like what we saw at the end of the year. I think I heard he's dealing with an injury but hopefully ready for OD. Not sure if he's draw worthy in consideration?

Guess it depends on your criteria for one of the best organization in baseball. Would you be satisfied if they elevated to the level of St. Louis, Milwaukee, Minnesota, Arizona or even Tampa? Consistent postseason appearances and the occasional deep runs in the postseason?

I am impatient with the Mariners at times. But I cannot make the leap that Mariners would be better off without DiPoto. His baseball operations seem sound. Building this farm system up, while the big club has won 90, 90, 88, 85 the last four years, is not a track record of incompetence.

I still pay comcast, including the upcharge for ROOT, but it sucks. Another option you could consider is the MLB TV app. It's evolved over the years to being a really solid platform. Of course you have the hassle of having to VPN (assuming you're local) to another region, but it's doable.

This is what keep thinking too. Contract is even a decent value now. If this is the path they choose to take, I'd have thought teams would be lining up.

Yep very true. Kang and even Thames also saw K% jump in a big way their first year. Adam are you hoping they pass on him or worth a roll of the dice?

Agreed. Jung Hoo Lee maintained elite contact skills coming over last year so maybe not unreasonable to hope the same. Anyhow fun to speculate if they sign him.

Interesting point. The concerns (on paper) are understandable but I'd still like to put some faith in the M's international scouting department to know what he is as a player. He'd also be a fascinating guy to watch. I'm hopeful!

I appreciate your optimism and I share it to the degree that this foundation is already very solid. With the current roster Fangraphs would project 82.8 wins (closely behind Texas and Houston’s current projections). I would still be very surprised Ms don’t make a significant move but we’ll see!

Exactly, we have no idea what was happening behind the scenes. Not sure why everyone wants to have such negative reactions to every individual bit of transactional baseball news. I think people enjoy getting upset about this stuff.
