T-TRAK and N-Scale Trains! 🚂🚃🚃🚃
Not much to show, yet; just beginning my journey into model railroading, again. Come: Follow along for progress, and how to do the things the hard way! 🤣
Oh! That's hilarious!!
I've told others my people skills are garbage....

Tiny Model Trains!😊🚂
I put my modules together, Friday night. Got things running smoothly(-ish) yesterday. Today, it was finally time for fun, with my Southern Crescent and Illinois Central ... uh ... bits.
The music it a bit loud....🤦

Well, this would have been nice to have, before the last show, two weeks ago! It popped up on eBay, just days after.🤦😂 Maybe I can assemble a full City of New Orleans or Panama Limited, for next time.

Well, time to do something about that table.😊🚂

My layout, since the end of the train show, weeks ago.😭 I needed to *make* the time to do something about this, this weekend.

A couple of photos from the train show, today. Yesterday was beyond slow; they were waiting for us to get things rolling as soon as the library opened, today!

A new train-friend arrived yesterday! Almost no time to work on it, with last night being Board Game night with the students, but it does move under it's own power, now. It desperately needs a good cleaning and fresh grease.
Giving it a bit of run-time, while I work.

Very nice! 😊
This reminds me of Erol Otis' works for TSR, ages ago.

"We" have been training foreign pilots there, for years. I'm guessing it was Boeing money, so they can get rid of their F15 stock. I'm wondering *why* they *need* mountainous terrain combat training. Who is Qatar going after, that has mountains?
Anyway, here's a few photos of Iran, because trains.
October 12, 2025 at 1:13 PM
Well, how have I not noticed that?!?😂
I *was* pre-drilling my module, so I can more easily change it later, and just discovered the screw holes don't line up! The double crossover matches the #6 Turnout, so I would guess a single crossover matches the #4. 🤷

The old C&EI station in Princeton is now the Gibson County Visitors Center. In many of these photos, just out of frame, to the East, is a Wabash streamlined caboose. C&EI had a number of cabooses based on this style. Because I am an idiot, I have almost no photos of it.

Some of the facilities Southern had in Princeton are in the attached image.

Since I mentioned Bucyrus-Erie, again, here's their former operations in Evansville, Indiana.
Also, because I suck at identifying draglines, this is probably a Marion 8950. When I first found that photo, I though it was a B-E 3270W, but now I'm not so sure. I choose it for scale.

Very poor quality photos of the inspection train.

I can't recall who was making sidewalks (and roads) with or without grass growing through it, for their model railroad, but here's a bit of grass growing through the road and sidewalk.

At the place, for the thing, and a late lunch.
October 7, 2025 at 7:29 PM
I haven't really posted model trains "in a minute". This is the current state of my layout. Nearly all the scatter buildings and trains are still boxed-up, too. Next show is in 18 days, and I've got maybe 5 of those where I don't have something going on.🤦

This one should have been obvious - and it was! - it just didn't have the information I was looking for, *at the time*. I should visit, sometime. It's a great resource!

Oh, this hurts, Con-Cor! If you wanted the split rail logo, why would you do *this*, instead of the ever classy brown orange and yellow of the Panama Limited (linked) and City of New Orleans?

Four Standard Corner Crossing!
(I've got quite a few more silly designs, that I'll probably never make, but I figured this was enough.😊)

Let the silliness commence!
September 26, 2025 at 10:46 PM
Not sure I'm following "keep the top and bottom separate". Put them on a shelf, like the images below? If so, your still thinking "layout", and not "module". Not that that is bad, it's great, even. It's when you realize each module is its own distinct piece, is when the magic happens.
September 26, 2025 at 7:58 PM
Well, here's our first attempt at my model railroad club's joint T-TRAK layout. Most of this is mine, except for the 3 modules in the back corner.
We have a lot of work to do!😂🚂

I'm assuming Oakland, CA? (I've got Oaklands in IL, KY, and TN, in my neighborhood.)
Looking at Sanborn Maps, this is my best guess:
September 20, 2025 at 11:10 AM
Noch unpainted figures 35985. Some need a bit of trimming, but they *also* have hands and shoes!😂
I'll eventually clip the legs off of my cheap Amazon people to be used as passengers in coaches, where they can't be seen well.

But, wait! There's more!
(I should have looked at the rest of the sheet, before posting that👆.)
