I did cheerleading for the basketball season; it was… something.

I was just thinking the other day of how Nick Jr was pretty good programming when I was young (Little Bear, Franklin, Blues Clues)
And then the overwhelming majority of shows on Nickelodeon for older kids seemed to be brain rot.

it's so deeply weird to draw any kind of attention to someone not drinking. sure, some people are sober. some people might also have to drive home or get up early or be pregnant or have health stuff/medications/digestive systems that don't play nice with booze. NOT MY BUSINESS! have some punch!

The more effort you put into Santa, the more likely they’re gonna be super disappointed between the ages of 6 and 10, imo
Some homeschooled kid ruined it for me when I was four, which was fine. I felt a little betrayed because my parents “lied to me,” but it didn’t devastate me forever.

In the Victorian era, and I guess later (because that concept is in “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” too) they did put small gifts ON the tree branches to distribute to the children!

I think ours is around the same as yours, and we wear warm stuff. But also it rarely gets below 20°F outside here.
My husband also has a box fan in the window overnight to bring in 51-56° air. Which is not *my* favorite choice, but the comforter is warm.
