Sunday Special – Mount Thor, Canada

I'd be lying if I said I previously knew of the incredible Mount Thor — right here in my home country of Canada. The truth is, I learned of it only a couple of weeks ago. Thor Peak, as it is also known, has the world's highest vertical drop at 1,200 m / 4,100…

Thor Peak, as it is also known, has the world's highest vertical drop at 1,200 m / 4,100 ft, and has a cliff that overhangs at 105 degrees — 15 degrees past vertical.

Wander Diaries: Snapshots of Poland
I've returned from Europe! I visited a good friend in the Netherlands for a couple days and then made my way to Poland, in Central Europe. It was my first sojourn to this wonderful county — a destination that was not only fabulous to explore but one that I hope to revisit and wander further. I dubbed this my "Poland Sampler Trip" as I quickly realized Poland has much more to offer and that I only "sampled" it.

Hello—I’m trying to help heal a river: the wild, spectacular Mutehekau Shipu in Nitassinan/Quebec.
We're raising funds to clean up a junk-heap we found c.100 miles up the system. Stove, fridge, oil drums...gah.
Images of river + junk below.

Dollars to Dinars: A Tour of World Currencies
Despite the popularity of credit and debit cards worldwide, cash is still widely accepted. That’s why I often visit my favorite Currency Exchange to get local currency before travelling. Additionally, I may use ATMs and Currency Exchange Bureaus at my destinations. As a result, I come home with a couple banknotes and coins that I often keep as souvenirs. This practice has given me a small collection of world money.
