This is a domino invention (of the best kind, mind you). Peter Jackson invented the talking to the moth part, which was believably Tolkienian, and then Rings added this, too & I love. #TROPRewatch

Someday, we may have to sit and talk about that one, too. Because I have a lot of feelings about the Show Writer's Choice and them making one extra non-canon switch-up in the events of 2.01 that made this more believable.

Also, I've always loved someone putting it like this and sliding in the reference that Narvi & Celebrimbor, perhaps, both had reasons to incorporate beautiful elven trees. Both The Two & this one.
