I actually have been to several of these. From Yellowknife to Fairbanks to Tromso Lofoten islands Kiruna and Finland and tried my luck on the south island of New Zealand a couple of months ago. Nowhere have I seen better than deserted ski area on the border of Norway at Riksgransen near Abisko!
