I really can't stress enough how much the Steam release helped the game, being the smash hit it was, along with it being released on the PS4 and Switch. It's the reason why the game went from being a cult classic on the PS3 to one of the most highly regarded games of its generation

Something I appreciate from a speedrunning perspective? Knowing that they kept a lot of exploits in the game, like damage boosting with landmines, because the thought of different players having different approaches, whether or not they figured out the exploits, was interesting to them

I use a combination of both Scrivener and Ellipsus and it works great for me

Can't go wrong with using either or both

Hope this helps

Ellipsus is convenient because I can access it anywhere, but I appreciate having Scrivener on my computer without paying for a subscription, so you basically own your copy

I've been using Scrivener again more these days. Seriously, I can never go back to using Word or Gdocs

On a side note, I once used Scrivener to write a graduate school paper and it was a game changer. Being able to break up my writing into smaller documents and organize my research made a huge difference

Scrivener is definitely worth it. So robust, there are a lot of features I don't use and I still get a lot out of it. It's really good for planning and writing longer fics, though I've been using Ellipsus more these days out of convenience

That's the sort of writing done out of love for him, I like how he's described here
