I live in Portland & can confirm, it's total bedlam out here. The New Seasons only had two checkstands open, the cashier had pronouns on their nametag, and someone honked at someone else in the parking lot! At a four-way stop, no one would go first out of politeness. I barely I made it home alive.

One time I paid movers to load my furniture and I had my very expensive green velvet couch all wrapped up and told them I do not want it placed on its side upright. They unwrapped it and placed it on its side upright. Uncovered velvet couch on the dirty floor of a moving van. I flipped.

I feel like the biggest asshole Karen when I do this but I don’t let anyone touch my stuff unless I’m watching. I’ve given clear instructions and then watched guys straight up disregard like I’m not the one paying. I’m sorry this happened.
