I don't think the other side sees it the same. Seems to me (full disclosure - I am Canadian) it's an abusive relationship. If the cops show up, they are asking what you did to upset your partner.

Azteca used "thatkiys" as a pace or measured in time duration. Unless you have a reason to not use an English word, go with "pace", otherwise make up a word that means pace.
