Spent my life running my own business. Canadian who is centrist on social issues, lean right on fiscal matters.
This was a brilliantly written and delivered address. It was clear, concise, successfully identified problems and proposed difficult but practical solutions. The best speech I have heard in years.

He has accomplished nothing. But he has been the greatest gift not to Putin, but probably more importantly, to China's Xi. Trade builds relationships and Canada, Europe, S. America, Africa, Caribbean, etc. are all forming potentially formidable new relationships with China. America may not recover.

Good move to support an industry where Canada can compete. Unfortunately autos are the TVs of the 90s. Other countries are building better cheaper products. Support industries where we are world class and help the others to adjust.

This is fantastic news. Let's go Bombardier. Canada needs to invest in industries where we have a competitive advantage - mining, aluminum and aluminum manufacturing (why are we buying finisihed aluminum cans and other products from the US), specialised manufacturing (private jets, simulators, etc.

Has one man ever destroyed a brand and alienated his core customers more effectively than Elon Musk?
He is a very bright man in many ways, but there is a certain alienating, dislikable quality to him that he has allowed to bubble to the top in way that has and will continue to cripple his brand.

Let's hope we will soon find out that the current number is well below 50%, although there is no guarantee and we may well learn that this shift, so unthinkable to so many, is permanent or at least long term, and possibly beyond repair.
