Hard yes on mandatory limits on how fast cars can go, hard no on a mass police surveillance state.

Yeah, UConn is finding themselves in a league that might get two bids this year, no surprise they want to play fewer league games and more of a Zags-style non-conference.

I'll take the team with the most wins against other teams in this week's poll. If there's a tie I'll break it by who beat the highest-ranked team.

Agreed, there's so much room for growth from the freshmen, and I was a bit hesitant on Krivas but you can see his confidence growing as he gets his reps. Remains to be seen if the potential will be reached, but the ceiling a fair bit higher than they've shown so far.

I'd push back on having seen Arizona at near-peak yet. Burries I still have faith will come around against top competition, and Krivas is improving by the week. Bradley (and Peat) is doing a lot of the heavy lifting in their big wins so far.

Feels like we're being really generous with either the word "recently" or "ranked" in regards to ASU.

You can get in all your guilty pleasures in these 28 days and never have them show up in Wrapped!

Enjoyed the piece (though I disagree on conference games in early December, if Player's Era is going to have an outsized resume impact I don't have a problem with conference games having one too), but on the Malik Reneau graphic it looks like assist and block averages are where OR% and DR% should be

I hope it works well for the teams, but I hate that it's destroying the existing MTE structure for something that doesn't seem as great for fans. There's no tournament bracket or easily understandable structure, it's just a bunch of random games in what were pretty soulless environments last year.

You will never see a schedule like that '02 Arizona team again. First non-power opponent didn't come until game 10 (and that team was #62 in the retroactive KP ratings).

Also in the MCU recently was the really fun Agatha All Along.

Confirmed that you are not Mick Cronin.

Your write-up of Murauskas says he didn't make the list but he's 98th!

This is Jimmermania erasure and we will not stand for it!

You'll have to wait just a bit longer! (His top 101 team rankings)

Maybe another way of phrasing, how many times in the 10k simulations did any team besides those 4 finish at #1?
October 23, 2025 at 5:03 PM
I love seeing these, but I do find it hard to believe that there are only 4 teams with a realistic chance to finish the season at #1. Is there truly that little variability at the top?

Hot take but I don't mind it, and it helps people remember how to spell it

I can't decide if them starting this off with Penn State-Oregon is hilariously oblivious or brilliant engagement trolling. Probably the latter.

One of the offseason highlights every year, I appreciate all the effort you and GP (and the coaches) put into compiling these!

I was subscribed to their podcast on the Arizona Wildcats but had to drop it yesterday. Just such a shameful response to a pretty measured take and making it clear where their values lie.

St. John's #1 due to Pitino would be one argument, but saying they have the best roster? One incoming transfer was on a tournament team (11th-seeded UNC) and he was the 3rd or 4th best player, and the other P5 transfers were not the best player on non-tournament teams. Talent but major questions.

Picking nits but if I were to have a single story represent realignment it would be the death of one of the power conferences (and the one I would have guessed was the safest due to geographic distance). Loved listening to all the pods and reliving what's clearly been an eventful quarter-century!
