But I don't think an AI produces art I think it steals it..
But it's such a philosophically weird place that both sides find it hard to define anything.

AI doesn't produce art, it's a tool used to create art and the artist is just guiding the AI.
Is someone who commissions and artist also an artist? Even if they ask for changes or alterations?
If not.. why not? What's different?

AI produces art the way a person does, by learning from a ton of art and using it as inspiration.
That's fine, but then why don't we treat it's output the way we treat humans? Meaning.. if you steal something, or copy someone's art, you're a thief?

People pushing AI seems to think the fun of making is the being done with it.
Not the process.
The process is where it's at.
The act of doing the thing is why it became something I could see as a job.
I feel both of your pain 🥲

I think getting people more involved in communities, collectives and acting locally would solve a lot of these issues that things like ChatGPT are preying on.
I just wouldn't want to also lose sight of the fact that the tool would still be dangerous.

Tech companies should kinda be responsible for the stuff their software emits.. no?

What do you think should be done about the tool encouraging suicidal ideation?
There still needs to be protection and tech companies should be responsible for what their systems produce imo

They gotta move fast and break things (the things being broken are people 😁✌️)
I'm sick of being really against AI, being consistently proven right and people are still obsessed with the fucking spirit box regurgitation machine.

I always try encourage my team if they see something, then say something.
Retro's are too long, draining and focusing on too many problems of varying importance.
Solve em' as they come 🥊
