Very sad news. Former NHL player and Pittsburgh Penguins legend Lowell MacDonald has passed away. I was fortunate to be coached by him in baseball in high school. My favorite educator of all time. Just a wonderful human being.

Very sad news. Former NHL player and Pittsburgh Penguins legend Lowell MacDonald has passed away. I was fortunate to be coached by him in baseball in high school. My favorite educator of all time. Just a wonderful human being.

How the hell did Henry Aaron not get 100% of the vote???
On this day in 1982, the great Henry Aaron was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility, receiving 97.8% of the vote. Here's my painting of him at Wrigley Field in late May of 1957, based on the photography of George Silk.
