Great take there. Let’s just internally deploy the military everywhere! Our founders and during most of our history Americans were deeply suspicious of standing armies for good reason. It’s even in the bill of rights folks. Third amendment?

What Rep Khanna got wrong is this wasn’t attacking Rowlings beliefs but her announcement that these specific monies would be spent funding anti-trans orgs. By purchasing these books Booksmith would be complicit in harming members of their community. From the SF Chronicle
