The tent goes up, the rain starts again.
You sit there in the glow, soaked through but safe, listening to the mountain breathe.

When the headtorch goes on, the world shrinks to a small circle of light.
Everything else becomes a feeling — wind, rock, heartbeat.

I love exploring in autumn. Yes it can get a little more uncomfortable when you have to battle the rain, but it's a time of change, a time of movement. Nature seems to be in preparation for sleep, in readiness for what is to come. #hikingireland #hikinguk
