This woman pauses on her daily walk to let chickadees eat peanuts from her hand. I walked with her this weekend and was amazed by how much these lovely little birds trust her.

Listening to the piano tuner do his work is so soothing that it inspired me to write an essay roughly 20 years ago. My piano tuner is now retiring after 28 years of keeping my piano in tune. His email says he still has the essay. It’s nice to know it mattered to him!
