WTF Letterboxd?! This is fucking outrageously ignorant.
Excerpt from the Letterboxd call sheet, their email newsletter, where they talk about the new Shane Black movie Play Dirty. In the text, they refer to Parker as a "thief with a moral code" which is the exact opposite of what he is and the entire point. Just fucking astounding. Here is the text from the entire section: The Nice Guys director/co-writer Shane Black—who came up providing the screenplays for such landmark actioners as Lethal Weapon, The Last Boy Scout and The Long Kiss Goodnight—emphatically reasserts his commitment to a certain kind of action movie with the spry and savage Play Dirty. It’s a new story based on Donald E. Westlake’s (writing as Richard Stark) legendary Parker novels, which provided the basis for such films as Point Blank, The Outfit and Payback, all of which renamed the central character, a thief with a moral code. Here, Mark Wahlberg plays Parker, who is out for revenge after he is betrayed by a fellow criminal, something you should never do to Parker, a character hailed by Quentin Tarantino in his recent book Cinema Speculation. (Westlake is having quite the resurgence this year—Park Chan-wook’s upcoming film No Other Choice is also based on his book The Ax.) LaKeith Stanfield classes up Play Dirty in support as a helpful thespian crook, and there are spirited turns from Rosa Salazar, Nat Wolff, Tony Shalhoub and Chai Hansen. My favourite doctor and companion

I saw Singham with a full house at Fantasia and when he comes out of the water shirtless in the intro montage (dry because I think they filmed it in reverse), the place went crazy. It was something even for Fantasia.

Watched The Bullet Train, the original 1975 movie that is the source for the new Netflix Bullet Train Explosion and it was excellent. It's 2.5 hours long that goes by as fast as the train is propelling forward, super rich plot where you care about everybody and cool scenes of 60s Japan. Recommended
