Take me back to the future
We have entered the era of #AI training AI. This is going to require an almost infinite amount of compute. From the leading edge models to on device. One-two weeks after #Deepseek, this is my takeaway. #AIforeveryone.

I initially balked at $40 for AI headshots thinking "if a computer is doing it, shouldn't it be (or won't it get) cheaper?" but with my new style, it felt important to show who I am now. The results got me thinking about #AIpricing and #AIeconomics
- Cost less
- took less time
- better output

I wonder what #TikTok website traffic and engagement has been like this week since it went offline for 12 hours. My guess is that it has spiked.

I checked #similarweb and found some other interesting stuff.

interesting parallel generations and technologies:
📺 #Boomers + Broadcast Media
🖥️ #GenX + Personal Computers
🌐 #Millennials + The Internet
🫂 #GenZ + Social Media & Sharing Economy
#GenAlpha + #AI

Each one evolving how we share and consume information.

I'm not opposed to a #ChipBan as I see the inherent risk of these technologies proliferating to non-friendly countries. There is enough demand domestically and while this wont solve the problem, it should slow things down in other countries and further strengthen our allies. #AI #GPU for US+allies
How will the new #AI chip export rules reshape global tech?

The US now categorizes countries into 3 tiers: allies like the UK get full access, while China faces a ban.

Here’s how #Nvidia & #Microsoft are responding to the sweeping changes: https://techinformed.co/4g1sinI

I've been listening to #TheTelepathyTapes after my wife couldn't stop talking about it. I really hope that we as a society begin to open our minds to the possiblities of the implications of a shared consciousness and our abilities to tap into it. First step is to elevate those that have been ignored

While the final week of the year is pretty light on communications, I've been having some pretty deep conversations planning for 2025 with my friends, Claude, the Gippity's (o1 and 4o), a Llama, and our NotebookLM. Gemini stopped by for a little bit but I forgot to invite Nova.

Things you can only do in December:
1. wear red and green together
2. hang up string lights and host random inflatable characters in your front yard at night
3.not feel guilty spending $1,000 on Amazon
4. Take half the month off work
5. watch NFL on Saturday

Now this is #AIforGood...
British telecom company O2 has created an AI persona "Daisy" to bait scammers and keep them busy. Shout to the out of the box product manager who thought to go on the offensive. This is British humor at it's finest.

NotebookLM is my secret weapon for synthesizing and disseminating information. I'll upload company websites and PDFs, YouTube videos, meeting transcripts, recent blog posts and it becomes a valuable resource for many tasks. The "podcast" is just another way to synthesize but isn't the main value.

Workday is one of a few application layer platforms that has successfully deployed GenAI to the enterprise (ServiceNow, Salesforce, SentinelOne are others that come to mind). This podcast with their team talks about the journey to get there.

I don't think AI is slowing down as much as it's filling out. Such transformative technology has a lot of complexity as it works its way into true adoption. Energy, edge use cases, performance at scale, data infrastructure, and more all getting figured out to make those cool demos a reality.
