There should be, like, four control boards that exist across all major brands of dryers. We have achieved all possible control board innovations. Let's just standardize and move on.

My dryer's moisture sensor needed to be replaced (a common problem), and I had to take off *layers* of the back of the thing before I could get to it.

I've gotten rid of several otherwise-functional appliances between it was more expensive to repair them than replacement, but all for stupid reasons. Like, if the washer drum failed, I'd get it. But it's always something relatively trivial, and yet fatal.

Such brittle plastic, yes. The top of my cheese drawer split open a month ago, and I haven’t been able to bring myself to spend the ~$130 on the replacement part.

It’s like the ~2000-era trend where IT companies all stopped selling “products” and insisted they sold “solutions.”
