The colors are garish yet gritty, sometimes hard to look at, sometimes too bright or too clashing. They are not harmonious, and I feel as though that represents the state of things within this universe: the opulence is only a facade, and everything is covered in grime and suffering.

#Robin3000

On the left corner all the way to the center there are three skeletal robots, one looking to the side, the one in the middle to the ceiling, and the one closer to the center to the other side. The new design for Robin is meant to match the aesthetic of the comic itself when it comes to this version of the future in which humanity tried to play god with genetic modification, only to fall victim to their own hubris when an alien warrior race came to conquer Earth.

A full comic page consisting of eight panels. The first one is a closeup of Batman's eyes as he's saying to Tom: "We don't have much time. Better get into the landing beam. Good luck. Remember me." Second panel shows Tom jumping off the ship through the light pink landing beam. Third to seven panels are part of the sequence of Tom landing on solid ground. In the fifth, as he's feet are touching the ground, there's narrating text that reads "It is a descent undetectable by Skulp autosensors. For the moment, Tom is protected." Sixth and seventh panels show Tom with his back towards the reader, already landed, with the beam dissipating into the night sky as he looks up and off panel where the ship with his uncle and mentor, Batman, is. On the seventh panel, it reads: "Batman is not." The eighth and last panel shows a sideways shot of Tom as he looks at the city skyline and Bruce's ship flying directly towards it. Tom says "No sign of the skulp ships. Maybe he'll make it--"

Taking advantage of the idea behind Elseworlds, Byron Preiss and Steven Ringgenberg (the ones in charge of the script) decided to take Robin to the future—the year 3000 to be exact.

In a comic that's clearly heavily inspired by Star Wars, they bring to life Thomas "Tom" Wayne, Robin.

A strip of four consecutive comic panels. In the first one Robin (Tom) and Batman are sitting side by side, operating their spaceship. Tom says "We're in the clear", to which Batman replies "Not for long. They know who I am... where I am. There's no place left to hide." The next panel shows a closeup of Tom's face as he says "Why, uncle Bruce... why surrender?". Third panel is a close up of Bruce, who replies "Surrender? No. I'm just going to die. There's a big difference. My death will give you the freedom to do what has to be done." Fourth and final panel shows Tom from the waist up sitting on a chair by the controls. He's looking off panel towards Bruce, looking mildly dejected. There's a speech bubble with its connecting arrow pointing off panel towards Bruce, and Bruce is continuing what he was saying in the third panel: "Earth needs a new hero. You're elected. Take off the mask."

When talking about the many Robins #DcComics has, no one remembers the curious case that is Elseworlds character Robin 3000, aka Thomas "Tom" Wayne. So now I'm gonna talk about him, as currently the only known fan of this character.
