Plus, it's a great intro frostbite - newly returning in DS3
Hidden underneath is a forgiving fight with small/short hitboxes and very punishable attacks. He gives the player great confidence but possibly a false confidence.

Frigid Outskirts is bad.
It makes an otherwise fine boss near impossible to enjoy.
