Apparently they asked citizens across the G7 (Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the U.K., and the U.S.) to rate other nations.

This is a very limited view of 'reputation'! Most of the world does not even get a voice at all!

And I hate how my clunky grammar makes me sound like AI, but that is a whole other can of worms.

This cartoon is probably 90 years old. Lately I find myself thinking about the line "Everything is different, but nothing has changed".

Damage, Inc auf Metallica's Master of Puppets. Irgendwie ein schlechter Vorgeschmack auf spätere Alben.

Allegedly, Beau Brummell is to blame for that.

I don't know either. When it comes from a respected source? But then there's the problem that the trustworthiness of sources is always subjective. And at one point people will consider everything fake news.

We are losing our shared reality, in a sense.

I'd say there is no point in trying anymore. We have to treat every image, video or audio recording like we already treat written or spoken things. Might be true, might be false. Fact or fiction. Focus on who made that, and why. And then decide if it may be true.
