15) A closer call, but I'd probably say Ego Death. The driving tension, the way it fits the characters, the emotional progression, it all clicks so well for me.

14) Yeah, uh... God's Hand still wins. This is absolutely everything I'd want for a Guts VS Dimitri track, from the instrumentals, to the vocals, to the lyrics and their characterization and storytelling, and how it fits the fight and URGH IT'S SO PEAK

13) I'm all in on Chief VS Slayer being our *next* rematch, but Mewtwo VS Shadow is the one I most need injected straight into the vein. We can't let the absolute travesty of that first round be where the story ends, "fourth Shadow episode" be damned.

12) Look, I'm aware of my reputation as *the* Garland VS Oersted girl, but since dipping my toe into Baki and diving headfirst into Kengan, Baki VS Ohma has skyrocketed up the rankings to the point where I flip between them almost daily. They both get the "#1 most wanted" status as far as I see it.

7) IDK if the casts count, so I'm gonna go with Desk of Death Battle. It's always fun to find out about the wacky shit that comes up during research!

6) Despite my last couple of answers, Season 10 takes it and it's not even close. Continuing on the last season's consistent quality while also having some all-time highs *and* the highest lows of any season will do that for ya. It may not have meant to end an era for DB, but what a way to do it!

5) Oh, you thought I was done with Season 8? This is a blast from start to finish, and a clear love song to both characters and even the medium of animation itself. It even taught me real world stuff I didn't know before, and I always love when that happens! An astounding capper to their big 1-0!

4) They really came out swinging for their tenth anniversary, huh? It was close between this and Harley VS Jinx for me, but the sense for storytelling and character development here put it over the top for me, especially in that banger of a fight.

3) Barring "The Obvious™️", last place has to go to the one where the one of the most boring back-and-forths is paired with the first and absolute worst instance of Horny Boomstick. Especially not helped that now I've seen X-Men '97 and actually like Rogue. At least they bottomed out early?

2) Yeah, yeah, call it recency bias or whatever, but what do you expect when they just casually drop peak fiction in our laps? An absolute thrill ride and love letter from start to finish. Guts VS Dimitri had a good run, but now there's a new king on the throne.

1) To think it's almost been 14 years already... I still remember I was just 11 years old and happened to see the episode in my recommended. From then on, I was hooked, and if I was taken back to make the choice to dive back down the rabbit hole, I'd do it all over again.
