I would assume that these, like any returned xbox elite controller, were purchased and swapped out with a malfuntioning older model.

Last I checked, making an new account wasn’t enough - they were tracking my payment method across accounts, and stopping new accounts from utilizing said method. I still haven’t figured a way around that. Otherwise i’d buy from them again.
